There are so many talents in the womb of Sekondi, and I can’t wait to see the rest of the world witness them and what they have to offer the football fraternity- Queen Mandy
Good day, everyone. I’m here today to introduce you to the young woman who is transforming the face of football in Sekondi [Western Region] of Ghana. Her name is Queen Mandy, and she is the founder of the Sekondi Intercommunity League, which has been running for a few years.
: Queen Mandy has a passion for football and its development at the local level, with hopes of taking it to the national stage over time. Currently, in Sekondi, she is the reason why young footballers wake up every day hopeful, knowing that someone cares about their talent. She not only organizes the leagues but also regularly visits training grounds, coaching players to help them improve and someday succeed.
As you might agree, these accomplishments are not easy and require someone with true passion to achieve. The time has come for the rest of Ghana to hear about her and the wonderful work she’s doing for football’s growth—especially considering she is a young woman and a mother who has dedicated her time to talents often overlooked.
Looking at her story and the dreams she holds, I urge you to help share this post with organizations and individuals who can support her to do even more. I trust you will do that. Remember, if Sekondi wins, Ghana wins; if Ghana wins, you win; and if an individu, l wins, you also win. Show your support for the woman I call the lady of football and the discoverer of talents.
I look forward to mentoring young footballers who will someday represent Sekondi-Takoradi or the Western Region at both national and international football events. It’s been a long time since I saw someone from the region reach such stages, and there’s a need to make that happen. However, the job is very difficult for me to do alone as a woman.
I hope to receive support from organizations, individuals, and companies nationwide who may believe in my vision and provide the necessary support, such as sponsorships, partnerships, and referrals, to expose what I do to the many interested parties who may want to come on board. I have organized football tournaments, coached and prepared many young talents who need exposure, and I count on everyone
