Operation Feed The Inmates At Sekondi Prisons!

Remembering inmates across Ghana and being a part of their lives was what encouraged these young people to embark on this donation exercise to put smiles on the faces of the female inmates at the Sekondi Prisons

On April 6, 2026, which fell on a Monday, the Akosombo True Donors Foundation carried out a heartfelt initiative called Operation Feed The Inmates by donating essential food items, refreshing drinks, and clean water to the Sekondi Female Prison.

This act of kindness was spearheaded by Mr. Napoleon Kwakye Marfo, the foundation’s dedicated leader.

Earlier in the year, the foundation had made a visit to the Sekondi Female Prison as part of their ongoing commitment to support vulnerable communities.

During that earlier visit, the team encountered a female inmate who was unfortunately suffering from a distressing illness.

Moved by her situation, the foundation took immediate action to assist with her medical treatment, assuring her that they would return with further help.

True to their commitment, the foundation returned on Easter Monday to provide not only moral support but also tangible assistance.

On this occasion, they generously donated a total of Ghc1,000, along with 52 carefully prepared packs of nutritious cooked food designed to nourish the inmates.

Additionally, they distributed several bottles of clean drinking water and various beverages, ensuring that every inmate felt looked after and valued.

In his address during the donation event, Mr. Marfo passionately encouraged the local community to get involved in supporting female inmates as they navigate their paths toward rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

He underscored the significance of collective efforts in helping these women heal and rebuild their lives, emphasizing that a supportive community can lead to transformative changes.

For those who wish to contribute to this critical cause—whether through financial donations, volunteering time, or providing other forms of assistance—Mr. Marfo invited community members to reach out for more information. He can be contacted directly at 024 519 5971.

By coming together and supporting this initiative, individuals can play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of these women and aiding them on their journey to recovery and reintegration.
